Merepek, Menarik, Tertarik... dan Manik Urai.

Tempat: Lounge, Marriot Putrajaya.

Lelaki: Aku bukan tipikal.

Aku: (diam..)

Lelaki: Kau percaya tuhan?

Aku: (sedut air kelapa.. tempurung kelapa dihias cantik dengan payung pink. Payung pink?)

Lelaki: Kau tengok orang berkopiah tu.. Dia buang tisu atas lantai. Apa kau fikir?

Aku: (masih buat-buat minum air kelapa..)

Lelaki: .....

Aku: (masih diam..)

....

.....

.....

Lelaki: Orang lazimnya lebih senang menuduh orang lain. Buta dengan daifnya diri sendiri.

Aku: (tenung iPhone dalam-dalam.. Bila nak pakai Iphone 3G S ni?)

....

Perbualan terhenti bila seorang perempuan cantik naik ke pentas menyanyikan lagu Linkin Park. Cliche!

.....

Aku: (Sambil menepuk peha beliau, perlahan.) Satu hari nanti, kamu akan faham. Bukan sekarang.. bukan sekarang..

....

....

Stay or Go?

On average, employees work between 3-5 years in a company.

I am already working in this company for 5 years..
Several offers are up for grab. Some offers are so good to be true.
Should I leave?

Statistically, potential employees above 35 years of age will start having difficulties changing careers/changing jobs.

I am already 28. Should I make my move now?

Can we be mad at stupidity?

Who shall be blamed if somebody is stupid?

How can we choose somebody that we can rely and trust on (definitely the person who is NOT STUPID!)?

Can human complexity adapt to the exigencies of these morons?

Being stupid is different. Playing stupid is another. Being stupid is not a crime, playing stupid is. Being stupid but blind enough to see your own weaknesses is worst still. Being stupid and been taken advantage of is worst still.

But, ..(toot).. you for being stupid and blind, and not willing to learn, snobbish and bragging of your stupidity.

Living Tough; being in a self-destructing, self vandalizing society

Many would agree on this.. It's a tough life we are living out here.

One of the reason would be; Why in h*ll, they are so "c.*.b.*.*"!!!

A self-destructing society will get worse if some would reward bad behavior, while a self-vandalizing society would do things that against moral (even they know it's ethically wrong").

The two terms I've mentioned are totally different from each other. Somehow, I have a theory that it's a common scenario for any country that have the history being under occupation. Look at the Philippines, African countries, India, Iraq, ex-Soviet countries.... Same happens!

Our society is a wreck!

Any vacancies available? Preferably it comes with a 5 figure income + benefits package!

Revisiting at our As we have collected.. Does it bring any good to us?

Recently, I went to my high school alumni dinner. Lots of VIPs, and even VVIPs. Last years dinner, the Sultan of Selangor even mencemar duli, came for dinner.

Having such opportunity to study at that particular school somehow made me proud. But, not anymore when somebody spoils all the fun by bragging and showing off stuffs, while at the same time, choosing associates. Keji!

What is great about of having a RM0.5M house at the age of 28 and brag to everyone about it? Whats in that Ferrari the you bought, together with a Porsche Cheyenne, and a Beemer X6 that can make you look down on other people?

Resam padi, makin berisi, makin tunduk!

I left the party with a battered ego, together with mixed emotions of hatred, frustration, pissed and surprisingly thrilled (its one helluva reunion, btw! catching up activities, some info exchange and GOSSIPS!).

That feeling lingered for several days, until God himself shows his warm love and kind attention to me. He send his signal.

This morning, as I was on my way to work, I saw that same old but poor lady living a hard life. The same ol'lady who shed for years under the flyover in Wangsa Melawati...

I saw her just finished doing her laundry. I saw her torn and old clothes hanging on the parking rail. I saw her hungry face.. I feel sad for her.. and I can feel her loneliness. I never saw if she had a husband or kids.

It also remind me of that Bandung kid during my trip there a year ago. He about 8-10 (at most) when he already experienced the bitterness in life. Barefooted, he carrying a couple of "lesung batu" on his shoulder. Earlier, I saw several boys selling "lesung batu" at traffic lights at 8am. I remembered, it was almost 10pm, raining, when he was stopped by a parking guard. Shivering, drenched, tired, hungry and bad luck, he was "pau-ed" his hard earned money by that cold hearted bastard.

If you think your life is hard, they suffered worst.
If you think that you are so damn-hell-better than others, take a good look around you.

Astaghfirullah... Alhamdullilah.

An Entry About Corporate Debt..

Geez! Another boring entry... I am sorry!!! But i can't help it. Having a recent, good "silence mode" really push my ideas into galaxies and beyond.

** silence mode is when I churned my experience, digesting my all theories and learnings. Assimilating it in mind. Often happen after several readings, or after big events that lead into it.

One book I have read recently is about corporate debt collection. From the book; they say that 1/3 of people pay because its the right thing to do. The next 1/3 pays only if they know that somebody is watching them. The other 1/3 pays because if they know that they will end up in lots of trouble by not paying. Hell, I don't know where the figure where people don't even bother of paying, or purposely don't care a shit about paying their debt.

However, the book advises;

1. Not to take good paymaster for granted.

Rewarding good behavior is the key. Therefore, a mutual win-win situation is created and kept for life.

2. Provide a clear and prompt billing process.

Often SMEs enterprises are not good at this, whilst others are juggling with this matter. Due to constraints (management, trainings and financial isues normally), many are destroyed by slow, misunderstanding and inaccurate billing process. Inaccuracy and confusing bills and statements will only hinder or creating delayed payments. In other words, QUALITY SERVICES!. Often, good customers turn into bad due to a bad billing error, or product dispute.
Avoid chain reactions that will hurt your organisation. Resolve any disputes quickly. Never ruin the relationship that your business partners are having with you.

3. Make it easy to pay.

How many of us grunted for a bad service? Same applies to your organization. Providing multiple payment options, or providing an easy access for payments will enable customers to be loyal, and creating more good paymasters.

Notably, many retailers are enjoying good cash flow as there are; only one payment terms = pay and leave, and multiple payment method = cash or credit card.

Hands On Tips for Small Businesses..

I stumbled this entry from my aunt's blog. Interesting, thou... Either way, there must be something that could be learnt, kan?

MOHD NASIR MUTALIP menulis kepada Tuan SAIFUDDIN AWANG pemilik kedai buku Pustaka Munirah di Kemaman:

Asalamualaikum.

Sekian. Terima kasih

Mohd Nasir bin Mutalip

Tuan SAIFUDDIN AWANG menjawab:

Waalaikumussalam.

Kedai besar seperti Popular, MPH mungkin memerlukan modal sekitar RM 500,000.

Saifuddin.
